Robert Conrad Wolf  

1929-2012


Robert (Bob) Conrad Wolf, 83, of Meridian, ID, passed away July 24, 2012, peacefully at home.
Bob was born January 31, 1929, in Dillon, MT, to John and Josephine (Findling) Wolf.  He was the youngest of two sisters and three brothers.  He attended school in Dillon and graduated from Beaverhead County High School, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Montana State College in Bozeman and a Master’s Degree in Education from Western Montana College in Dillon.
He married Bernadine Kay Whitworth on May 5, 1951, in Dillon.  There were three boys and two girls born to this union.
He served in the Montana Army National Guard for 37 consecutive years and rose to the rank of Major.  He was branch qualified in armor, artillery, chemical warfare, and military police.
He and his wife, along with two other couples, organized the Dillon Little League Baseball.  He was very involved in American Legion Baseball and served many years as chairman of Class A baseball in Montana and southern Alberta Canada.
He served for 30 years as a member of the American Legion, acting as commander of Post 20 in Montana for 3 years and 1 year as commander of Post 113 in Idaho.  Bob received the Outstanding Legionnaire of the Year citation for the years 2008-2009.
 He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities over the years.  He and his wife served 4 missions.
Bob taught Math, Industrial Arts, and Drivers Training at Beaverhead County High School for 30 years.  He was a contractor and was a gifted wood worker.  Those who knew Bob will remember his patriotism and that he lived to volunteer and be of service to others.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 older brothers, and 2 sisters.  He is survived by his wife Kay, sons Dr. David Wolf (Janet) of Carmichael, CA; Dale Wolf (Jan) of Great Falls, MT; Eric Wolf (Kimberly) of Meridian, ID; and daughters Cheri Blomquist (Kevin) of Twin Falls, ID; and Shelli Schuett (Dr. David) of Dillon, MT; one brother Ray of Stoughton, WI; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  
Services were held at Meridian West Stake Center, 1985 Black Cat Rd, on Saturday, July 28, at 11 a.m. The family greeted friends from 9:30-10:30.  Graveside services were at Idaho Veterans Cemetery on Monday, July 30, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys Basketball Program at Rocky Mountain High School (RMHS Boys Basketball, 3917 Bryce Canyon Place, Meridian ID  83646).



Mary Lizzy Gordon McNinch  

1921-2012


Mary Lizzy Gordon McNinch, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 23, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society, Idaho Falls Village.
Mary was born February 14, 1921, in Menan, Idaho, to Maurice Rupert Gordon and Mabel Ann Whitman Gordon.
On February 28, 1943, she married Joseph Wilson McNinch in Lima, Montana.
Mary is survived by her son, Fred, of Idaho Falls, and a sister, Ellen (Alonzo) Zaugg of Ririe, ID, 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Melvin.
Graveside Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m.  July 30 at the Mount Moriah Cemetery in Lima.
