George Edward Dyer was born on May 15, 1968 in Springfield, Ohio, to Linda Meeker and Edward H. Dyer. He died unexpectedly at the young age of 42, at his residence on August 3, in Dillon.
George traveled with his family in his young age and, eventually made their way to Dillon where he graduated from BCHS in 1986, and then attended DeVry University in Phoenix, Ariz.
He moved to Washington state where he became the proud father of Miranda and Tyler. He also worked in the lumber retail industry for 15 years.
George took pride in his work and friends he made along the way. He enjoyed horses, Nascar, wrestling and the History channel, but he cherished his wife and family the most.
He moved back to Dillon to be with his family in 2007, where he became, and remained, employed with Standard Lumber.
George was united in marriage with Christy DuBois on May 1, 2010, and together they made their home in Dillon.

Visitation was held Sunday, August 8, from 5p.m. to 8 p.m., at Brundage Chapel, and funeral services took place Monday, August 9, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
There was a potluck reception following graveside services, at the Prairie Bible Church.

Dorothy Anne Andersen

1928 - 2010

A memorial service has been scheduled to honor the life Dorothy Anne (Gosman) Andersen at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17. The service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 203 E. Glendale St., Dillon.
Dorothy Ann, or “D.A.” as she preferred to be known, died June 23 in Yuma, Ariz. She was 86. The cause of death was due to complications related to heart disease.
Dorothy Anne was born to George Gosman and Zetta (Gilbert) Gosman in Butte, in 1923. She lived in Dillon and attended local schools, graduating as valedictorian from Beaverhead County High School. She attended Gulf Park College for a year, and then transferred to the University of Montana, Missoula.
At Montana, she was president of her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. D.A. earned a degree in pharmacy and, partly because of a shortage of professors during the war, taught undergraduate pharmacy students even as she was finishing her studies.
In 1965, she moved to Yuma with her family. She became a staff pharmacist at the Yuma County Outpatient Clinic, and worked in the county health system until her retirement.
D. A. was preceded in death by her husband, George Andersen, who was also a pharmacist in private practice in Yuma.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Jim) Cox, San Diego, Calif., and son Tom Andersen, Claremont, Calif. She has three grandchildren, Joel Andersen, Tucson, and Kristen Andersen and Soren Andersen, Venice, Calif.
A lifelong member of the Episcopal Church, D.A. was a parishioner at St. James’ in Dillon, and St. Paul’s, Yuma. She was active in several church organizations, including the alter guild and the ECW. She was a member of Eastern Star and P.E.O., and was also an active member of the Wives of U.S. Submarine Veterans of WWII.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of donations to the University of Montana Foundation, in memory of D.A. Andersen, for the Skaggs School of Pharmacy. The address is P.O. Box 7159, Missoula, MT., 59807.
