Dan and Bobbie Jeanne Scott

Dan and Bobbie Jeanne Scott made their final journey to eternal life together, after 61 years of marriage.
Daniel Curnutt Scott was born at Barrett Hospital in 1930 to Parke T. and Mildred L. Scott of Armstead. He attended grade school in Armstead and graduated from Beaverhead County High School in Dillon. He then served a four year enlistment in the Navy. Upon his return he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts from Western Montana College. Dan completed his Masters Degree at Indiana State University. His last 19 years of teaching were at Western Montana College where he was the assistant professor of Industrial Arts. Dan was very involved in the Dillon community. He served on the Barrett Hospital Board of Trustees, Bicentennial Apartments Board of Directors, City Council and was a 4-H Leader. In his retirement he spent many long hours grooming, managing trails for Beaverhead Snow Riders, and considered it a labor of love. One of Dan’s greatest joys was teaching his sons the love he had for hunting and the great outdoors. He had an amazing ability to fix, build, construct, draw and design just about anything imaginable.

Dan and Bobbie were married December 27th, 1950 in Dillon Montana. Their first son Robert Daniel was born in San Diego, California while Dan was in the service. After returning to the Armstead family ranch, Dan and Bobbie had three more children, Parke F., Steven C., and Danna Jeanne.
