Patricia Stamm Lathrop

1925 - 2011

Patricia Stamm Lathrop passed away on May 9 at home in San Diego, Calif.

She was born Nov. 4, 1925, in Dillon, to Walter and Frances Stamm. Patricia attended schools in Dillon and graduated in 1945 from Beaverhead County High School.

She attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash. Her career was her family.

Patricia spent most of her adult life in California, but her heart was always in Montana. In her later years, she split her time between San Diego and Dillon.

Patricia would arrive in Montana each May. Her time in Big Sky Country was spent working in her many gardens and reading on her front porch.

Patricia was an excellent artist, with an emphasis on water color; had a great interest in the financial markets, and was an avid professional football and golf fan.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Jean and Sally.

She is survived by her son, Greg; daughter, Susan Lathrop; granddaughter, Elizabeth Lathrop; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, private family services will be held.

Memorial gifts can be made to the Dillon Public Library.
