Elroy M. Westad

1931 - 2010

Elroy “Wes” M. Westad, 78, of Dillon, passed away May 25.

Wes was born Sept. 21, 1931, to Evelyn and Melvin Westad.

A Navy veteran, he graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1949, and Cal Poly in 1959.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn; children, Sherrie Westad, Reno, Nev., Ron Westad, Mesa, Ariz., and Kevin Westad, Fairfield, Calif.; stepfather from age 8, Steven T. Castle, Philomath, Ore.; grandchildren, Cory, Jenna. Brody, Beau, Emma and Alex; sister, Marlene Tash, Dillon; and brother, Don Westad, Dillon.

He was preceded in death by JoAnn Smith Westad, mother of Sherrie, Ron and Kevin.

Memorial services with military honors are scheduled for Friday, June 11, 11 a.m., at the Mountain View Cemetery Columbarium.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain View Cemetery Columbarium Improvement Fund.

Hundreds of words are used to describe a life of 79 years. Only five words are important — He was a good man.
