Sibley Edward Hanson
1930 - 2010

Sibley Edward Hanson passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 12:30 p.m. He was 80 years old.
Sib was born to Edward Theodore and Anna Mary Hanson on Jan. 11, 1930, in Wolf Point. His family had a farm, and he grew up and graduated from high school there. After high school, Sib joined the Navy and was a secretary stationed at Quadjalene in Korea during the Korean War.
He met Shirley Mae Chapman in 1952 while he was in Hawaii. On June 21, 1953, they were married.
For awhile they lived in Wolf Point, and on Dec. 1, 1954, they had a son. Then they moved to Havre so Sib could go to college. While in Havre, there was another boy born to them on June 24, 1956. Sib and Shirley went back to Wolf Point after awhile. They were blessed with another son on June 21, 1958, which also was their wedding anniversary.
In 1964 the family moved to Columbia Falls, and lived there until spring of 1972. Sib worked for Stolze Lumber Company while living in Columbia Falls. Then in 1972 he was transferred to the Stolze mill in Dillon.
Sib and Shirley lived in Dillon from 1972 to 2007. Because of a stroke, Sib lived at the Village Health Care Center in Missoula from August 2007 to Feb. 17.
Sibley is survived by his wife of 57 years; three sons, Fredric Edward Hanson, Missoula, David Duane (Terri) Hanson, Scottsdale Ariz., and Michael Thomas (Christina) Hanson, Missoula; four grandchildren, Kristina, Jonathan, Daniel, and Michael, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two step-granddaughters, Carol Lynn Nina and Paulina Danielle Roberts, Missoula; one step-great granddaughter, Christina Agnes Roberts, Missoula; four brothers, Vern, Dorence, Harvey, and Arnold; and two sisters, Helen and Goldie.
Preceding him in death were his parents, all of his aunts and uncles, and one nephew.
Services will be held this spring in Missoula at the Veterans Cemetery. At Sib’s request cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Lodge in Dillon, Village Health Care Center in Missoula, or charity of the donor’s choice.



Frank Jadrny
1949 - 2010

Frank Jadrny passed away suddenly of natural causes on March 7 at his home in Dillon.
He was born in Oregon on June 3, 1949. He and his wife Debbi (Deason) of 40 years raised two children in LaPine, Oregon. Frank and Debbi moved to Dillon in 2005.
He is survived by his wife; son Kenneth (Buzz) (Candice) Jadrny, LaPine, Ore.; daughter Francine (Kyle) Nye, Charleston, Miss.; two grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren; brother, Ron (Sharon) Krettinger, Burns, Ore.; and sister, DeeAnn (Steve) Lewis, Gresham, Ore.
At Franks request, there will be no services and private burial will take place.

Beatrice Stewart
1940 - 2010

Beatrice (Duke) Stewart, 69, Dillon, passed away quietly with family by her side on March 14.
Beatrice was born Aug. 2, 1940, in Great Falls. Bea and Marv Stewart married, Jan, 28, 1956, and had 54 wonderful years.
Beatrice was a doer. Throughout her life she has worn many different hats. She helped ranch in Cameron, owned and managed the Beehive Hallmark gift shop in Bozeman, moved to Dillon to help Marv run Marv’s OK tire in Dillon, Stewart’s Tire in Pocatello, Idaho and Snake River Tire in Twin Falls, Idaho.
She was generous and had a heart of gold. Beatrice was a wonderful and loving mother and wife.
She is survived in life by her husband; children, Debbie (Don) Grayson, Dillon, Miles (Tawnya) Stewart, Twin Falls, Idaho; Kassie (Danny) Wilson, Boise, Idaho; sister, Charlotte Rosen and pal Squirt; grandchildren, Charlie (Tammy) Harrison, Shawn (Angela) Harrison, Sharde’ Bement, Journee Stewart, Weston (Cammi) Morrison, Tawni (Trenton) Vaird; and many great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation Thursday, March 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Brundage Funeral Home, with services on Friday, March 19, 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Western Montana College Rodeo Club, Dillon Elks Lodge, or a charity of the donor's choice.

Jeanette Sallee
1935 - 2010

Jeanette (Watkins) Sallee passed away peacefully in her home in Grover Beach, Calif., Friday, March 5.
She was born May 20, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Frank and Harriett Watkins. She grew up in Dillon, and later moved to California.
She was a loving wife and mother; and enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, ballroom dancing, golfing and traveling.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, M.M. Sallee, Grover Beach, Calif.; her mother, Dillon; four children, Nanette (David) Hiles, Cochranton, Pa., Tim (Lynn) Scott, Tustin, Calif., Leann (Arthur) Fallow, Yorba Linda, Calif., and Maureen (Brian) Guffey, Paulden, Ariz.; two step-children, Mandee (Wayne) Kenitz, Pismo Beach, Calif., and David (Cece) Sallee, Pahrump, Nev.; brothers, Frank (Joan), Basin, and Jim (Theola), Dillon; sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A memorial celebrating her life is planned for July in Dillon. Contributions may be made in memory to the Alzheimer's Association.



Joseph Orr Holt
1944 - 2010

Joseph Orr Holt was born Nov. 6, 1944 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and passed away at Fort Harrison, March 5, due to complications of surgery.
Joe was the son of George Tinsley and Mary Beatrice (Shanholtzer) Holt. He joined sister Lily Mabel at the family ranch in Alaska Basin, Centennial Valley. Another sister, Mary Beatrice, joined the family in August 1946. Due to George’s poor health, they moved to Stevensville. Another son, George Tinsley, was born in Missoula, September 1948. George Holt, Sr., passed away at the family farm in 1951.
The family moved to Dillon, and Joe attended Dillon schools from the third grade through high school. Bea married Lynn Nye, a friend from Centennial Valley in 1953. the family spent several delightful summers at the Deep Creek Cow Camp in the Lima Peaks.
Joe graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1962. He attended Western Montana College on a football scholarship in the 1960’s. Some of his fondest memories were of playing football. Several summers were spent working for the Red Rock Lakes Wildlife Refuge in Centennial Valley. His mother passed away in 1967 followed by his stepfather who passed away in Banning, Calif., in 1976.
Joe joined the Marines and served in Vietnam. He was very proud of being a Marine. Shortly after his return he married Shirley Mae Glenn in Bonsell, Calif., Dec. 5, 1969. Joe adopted her three daughters, Nancy, Lelia and Terri. The family moved to Glen where Joe worked for Hagenbarth Livestock. Joe also returned to college and got his bachelor’s in secondary education. On March 20, 1971, son Joseph Edwin was born in Dillon. The Holt family later moved to Clements, Calif. Joe moved back to Montana after their divorce in 1980.
Joe married Linda Marie Mulloy June 14, 1986 in Ririe, Idaho. They lived in Idaho before returning to Montana. This family included four daughters and one son.
Joe loved horses, children, and Montana. He also enjoyed music and was a good dancer. He could build a strong fence, but because of his bad heart, Joe had to quit ranchwork. Joe and Linda settled in Lima. While he was able, he enjoyed attending the Lima Community Church, and singing an occasional special.
Joe is survived by his wife; daughters, Nancy, Lelia, and Terri, Calif.; Tracy(Mike)Wehe, Ucon, Idaho; Shawna (Terry) Keating, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Lisa (David) Ferguson, Shelley, Idaho; Alinda Martindale, Lima; and sons, Joseph (Jed) and Edwin (Jill), Tollhouse, Calif., and George Martindale, Idaho Falls, Idaho; grandchildren, Joey, Kenny, Kyle, Melissa, Calif.; Travis (Karlee) Byington, Brandon, Tasha, and Tanner Dugan-Nelson; Jennifer Collette, Cherla (Jerry) Randall, Terry Keating; Anna and McKenzie Ferguson; Whitney, Joseph, Christina, and Ramsey Martindale; Jessica and Jaidyn Holt; great-grandchildren, Oakley Byington, Jeremy and Liberty Collette, Emma Randall, and two more that are on the way.
Joe Holt is survived by sisters, Lily Riley and Mary (Robert) Holt, Dillon; brother George Holt, Dillon; sister-in-law LaRue (Bob) Dodge, Ririe, Idaho; and numerous nephews and one niece, and numerous great-nephews and -nieces.



Shirley Jeanette Cooper
1948 - 2010

Shirley Jeanette (Rebich) Cooper passed away in her home, in Kent, Wash., on March 5.
Shirley was born Dec. 27, 1948, in Dillon, to Jim and Marie Rebich. She grew up on the family ranch her grandfather purchased in 1901, six miles south of Dillon.
Shirley attended the one room Riverside School, two miles from her home. She graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1967. She attended flight attendant school, and accepted a job with the FBI in Washington, D.C., for a period of time.
Later she moved to Portland, Ore., where she met Arlie Cooper. They were married on Sept. 19, 1969, and celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2009.
Shirley is survived by her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Leonnie and Tom Stewart; granddaughters, Kaleigh, Heather and Sarah; and grandsons, Kyle, David, and Nicholas, all of Washington; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Tom Rice, Dillon; nephews, Nolan Rice and Beth Lehman of Twin Falls, Idaho; Mike, Kara, Jake and Madison Rice of East Helena; and her husband’s extended family.
Shirley was a truly loving person, and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, March 16, 7 p.m., at Marlatt Funeral Home, Kent, Wash. Graveside Services are to follow in Dillon at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.

Memorial services for Richard Daniel Eudaily are scheduled for Thursday, March 18, 11 a.m., at Brundage Funeral Home.
Interment of cremated remains will follow services at Mountain View Cemetery.
