Michael Cox

1965-2012

Michael Cox, 46, passed away at the University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona, on June 20th after a short respiratory illness.
He was born to Terrence and Elenor Cox in Anaconda, Montana, on October 1, 1965. His elementary school years were spent in Dillon where his father served with the Forest Service. Years later, we often laughed when he told us the highlight of kindergarten at Mary Innes was when he and a friend somehow snuck into the old fire escape and slid the whole way down.
Further adventures included the time when he and his sister went up the fire escape and climbed atop the steep roof at Western Montana College.
After leaving Dillon he lived in Michigan, Nevada, California and Texas. His cheerful demeanor always positively touched those around him.
Health reasons brought him to Green Valley, Arizona, in 2008, where he resided with his mother and father.
His passing was peaceful and he was surrounded by his family. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Nancy (Helena) and Lauri (Phoenix), and his brother Steve (Dillon). He will be forever in our hearts.
