Bruce Edward Pearson
1922 - 2011

Bruce Edward Pearson, 88, of Sheridan, died Thursday, June 2.
He was born in the upper Madison south of Ennis on Nov. 11, 1922, the son of Leo Pearson and Irene Cowan Pearson. He went to school near Cameron, moving to Sheridan when he was 11 years.
Bruce spent summers working with his uncle, Jack Cowan, on Ramshorn Creek near Sheridan. After graduating high school from Sheridan Bruce worked in Seattle, Wash., and Los Angeles, Calif.
In early 1942 he enlisted in the Army. Bruce was in the first army landing at Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944 - D Day. He continued fighting through France, Belgium and Luxembourg. He was wounded in action in Aachen, Germany, the first German city to fall to American and allied troops.
After proudly serving his country he returned to Sheridan on New Years Day 1946. Bruce always talked of leaving New York City on the Queen Mary and returning home on the aircraft carrier Enterprise.
In December 1946 he married Gay Nelson and moved to Butte, and mined underground for the Anaconda Copper Company. In 1957 they moved back to Sheridan and purchased the Sheridan Bakery. Together they operated the bakery until Gay's health forced them to sell in 1976.
Together they raised three children, Renee, David and Connie.
Bruce and Gay enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing in the mountains of the Ruby Valley. After Gays death in 1978, Bruce went to work at Sheridan schools. In 1979 he married Hope Long, they shared 19 years hunting arrowheads and fishing until her death in 1998.
Bruce was also preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Audrey Mortensen.
He is survived by his children, Renee (Dan) Corcoran, Fallon, Nev., David (Shelia) Pearson, Sheridan, Connie (Tony) Tezak, Dillon, Heidi (Richard) Wright, Klammath Falls, Ore.; his grandchildren, Bruce Corcoran, Samantha Corcoran, Jordan, Paul, Shawn, Parker and Brent Tezak, and David Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials should be sent to American Legion Post 89 in Sheridan, or the Sheridan Cemetery.
Funeral services were held Monday, at 11 a.m., from the K&L Mortuary Chapel in Sheridan with Deacon Andy Dorrington officiating.
Interment with military honors followed in the Sheridan Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ron Pack, Jordan Tezak, Paul Tezak, Shawn Tezak, Parker Tezak, Brent Tezak and David Wright.
Honorary Pallbearers were Bob Birrer, Greg Hall, Dick Todd, Les Jackson and Shirley Hancock.



Delbert D. Tucker
1949 - 2011

Delbert D. Tucker of Dillon, Montana passed away at Barrett Hospital and Healthcare on June 6, 2011. He was born on May 12, 1949 in North Platte, Nebraska. He moved to Dillon around 1984 and married Dorothy Reid on January 5, 1986 and they were separated in May of 1987 but remained best friends. He live at 514 Vine St. until May 18, 2005 then moved into Parkview Acres and he will be remembered for all of the beautiful painting that he did while being there. He was very proud of them. He will be missed by all of his friends. He is survived by his best friend; Dorothy Reid, step-sons; Clif, Tom, and Doug Reid, grandsons; Andy and Zack Reid and great grandson; Troy. A private family service will be held at a later date.
