Maxine Lawson

1932 - 2010

Maxine Lawson was born in Deer Lodge April 26 1932 to Carl and Mildred Carlson Benson. She grew up in Butte and Dillon. She graduated from Beaverhead High School in 1950.
In 1950 she married Bob G. Lawson, the love of her life. They moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where they had two children. Maxine was mostly a stay at home mom until she and Bob owned and operated the Motor Matt Car Wash and gas station on the Northgate Mile for several years.
She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years and her son, Bob K, Lawson.
She is survived by her daughter Chris Hanson, and her son-in-law Joe, whom she adored. She is also survived by three grandsons and one granddaughter, and 3great-grandchildren. Maxine also has a surviving brother, Neil Benson and his wife Barbara, of Drummond.
A celebration of Maxine’s life was held Saturday, at 2 p.m., at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church Idaho Falls, with Reverend Larry Cudmore officiating. A visitation for family and friends was held at the church prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be given to the The Good Samaritan Society, Idaho Falls Village, in her name.
Arrangements were under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home in Idaho Falls.
